Stephen McCoubrey is a highly experienced art consultant offering a range of services to private collectors and to various organisations, commercial and public, assisting with their interactions with the contemporary art world.

Stephen began his art education at Winchester School of Art before completing a BA in Fine Art and Art Theory at Goldsmiths, London University. Shortly after graduating, he joined investment bank Warburg Dillon Read as their first full time art professional, and over the following 5 years Stephen bought the European offices of UBS’s investment bank into an art management system and started to build a new collection of emerging art within the firm. Over the next 10 years Stephen spearheaded the amalgamation of all of the newly unified UBS’s collections into one globally managed system, curated and managed all of the bank’s 15 public exhibitions from the collection from 2007- 2016 in institutions throughout Europe and Asia (including exhibitions at Tate Modern, Hong Kong Arts Centre and Denmark’s Louisiana Museum) and initated and manged the collection’s displays at the Art Basel fairs in Switzerland and Hong Kong, reinventing the use of the collection as a marketing tool in the process. Having acquired thousands of works of art from and for every major UBS market globally, Stephen left UBS in late 2016 after 17 years at the collection to set up independently. Stephen now works with a client base of private collectors, art fairs, commercial galleries and corporations to further their ambitions and achievements in the art world.
